New WhatsApp Feature Update
The new WhatsApp feature update will allow all app users to mute the videos before sharing it with their friends, families, and colleagues. Users will be able to mute any video by simply tapping on the volume toggle available in the section where users usually edit the video. The other options like an emote option, text option and edit option will remain the same. WABeta Info, a popular website that tracks WhatsApp, after releasing the 2.21.3.13 update, reported that WhatsApp is finally rolling out something new for their users: the possibility to mute videos before sending to anyone. The report read, “WhatsApp is rolling out this feature today for more users having a beta build. It might also appear in a previous update but it’s very recommended to update to the latest 2.21.3.13 beta update.” WhatsApp is rolling out the new WhatsApp feature for all users with beta build. This new feature might also appear in a previous update; however, users are requested to update the app with the latest 2.21.3.13 beta version. WhatsApp is also reportedly working on a fix for the mention badge in the group cell, every time you are mentioned in that specific group. Further, WhatsApp also released a new animated sticker pack called Taters n tots. Meanwhile, WhatsApp rival Telegram has become the most downloaded app. Telegram has recorded 63 million installs in January 2021. Telegram even topped the overall non-gaming downloads last month. This sudden increase can be attributed to WhatsApp decision to share user data with its parent company Facebook and other third-party apps. A lot of loyal WhatsApp users have decided to quit using the app as most are not comfortable with Facebook keeping an eye on everything in their smartphone.
