Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro
Both these phones stole the spotlight during the launch. The Pro managed to stand against the vanilla. The vanilla has a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Honor 80 Pro has a bigger OLED of 6.78 inches with a resolution of 2700 x 1224 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The vanilla hosts its 32 MP camera in a tiny punch hole. The Pro has a pill-shaped punch hole sitting at the top center. It resembles the notch for Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro series. However, there are no software-generated black bars to stimulate a notch. The Honor 80 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G and the Honor 80 Pro runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. This is an underclocked form of the Prime ARM Cortex-X2 core capped at 3.0 GHz. Three ARM Cortex-A710 Gold cores are running at 2.5 GHz. Both the smartphone models come with a 160 MP primary camera possibly from Omnivision. It has a 1/1.56-inch imaging sensor. It has an f/1.8 aperture and performs 16-in-1 pixel pinning with 0.75µm pixels. These devices also have an Image Engine for skin texture detection, scene optimizations, and new AI RAW algorithms. For vloggers or video content creators, there is an AI Vlog mode to bring advanced controls to their work. The Honor 80 also has an 8 MP ultrawide module along with a 2 MP depth sensor. The Honor 80 Pro has a 50 MP ultrawide shooter along with a 2 MP depth helper. Both runs on Android 12 MagicOS 7.0. They have a 4800 mAh battery with the 66W fast charging option.
